Toluol, also known as toluene, a powerful solvent, toluol can dissolve many substances, including adhesives, rubber, paints, lacquers, and leather tanners. is a hydrocarbon compound most often used as a adhesive thinner, cleaner, and degreaser.

It is widely used as a solvent in industry as many different substances dissolve easily in it.

This solvent is not suitable for cleaning equipment used for polystyrene foam since the solvent will attack polystyrene foam.
